Wow - the last few weeks have flown by! We've been busy and one of us, the youngest one, has been sick. Mason was coming down with a slight cold the weekend of his birthday. As the following week went on, his other cold symptoms went away but he had a nasty cough that would not go away. Jon and I spent a long weekend in the Twin Cities and it was while we were gone that Mason was diagnosed with croup. Note to other parents: When you leave town, leave a medical waiver with the person(s) caring for your child. We did, and this allowed my mom to have Mason cared for at the acute care. They prescribed some meds for him - which were a HUGE help. A huge thank-you to my parents for caring for him that weekend while we were gone.
As for our trip to Minneapolis, we had blast, until I found out Mason wasn't well, and then the mother-worrying kicked in. We shopped at the outlets, at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove and ate our favorite places: Noodles & Company, Chipotle and Axel's Bonfire. Yum, yum.
Now that it's almost March, we are somewhat back to normal. Mason still has a slight cough and it could hang around for another 2 weeks. Jon and I have tickets to the Summit League tournament in Sioux Falls next Sat - Tues. March is looking busy too - two indoor rummage sales that I'm helping and visits from friends out of town will keep us going.
